THE SCHOOL COMPUTER LABORATORIES

The center has three (3) computer laboratories equipped with 20 computer sets each connected to high speed ADSL provided by PLDT. It has photocopier, scanner and printer ready for students' needs in preparing their research works and other activities.

THE SCHOOL BUILDING

The newly-built RIVETECH building is located at Villa De Calamba, Calamba City, Laguna, Philippines. The said building will cater for the training of adults who wish to learn a trade that they can use to find employment locally and abroad. 

The center will offer short courses in Residential & Industrial Wiring, Radio & Television Repair and Basic Computer Operations and Repair that will last for 3 months under a Competency Based Training Approach.

In support of the government’s program to increase production for self-sufficiency and for the upliftment of our country’s economy, this training center will endeavor to provide formal or non formal academic or vocational education to deserving youth members by providing either partial or full scholarship, most especially to out-of-school youths, whom we shall train to acquire knowledge, skills and technical know-how in industry, most primordially in the field of technology like welding, refrigeration, electrical technology, electronics technology, computer technology and other technical or vocational courses of which will enable every citizen to be productive and useful, for the welfare of our country.

MISSION

· Cater to those who have left school due to financial problems, by offering them low training fees and earn while they learn activities that the center will give them.

· Train students in the theory and practice of technical skills and so fit them for employment directly into industry or commerce.

· Offering training or further training to persons employed in industry or from public sector and offering training in basic skills to persons with minimal formal education.

· Offering Trade up-grading classes for persons interested in upgrading their general technical ability.

· Developing the center as a technical resource center offering advice and assistance to industry and the community.

ENROLMENT

The newly organized Rivetech Skills Training Center is in the process of consolidating all its resources in order to start accepting student applicants for the first batch of 2013 intake. 

The first batch of students will be accepted for Electrician 1 course in Housewiring that will start on the first quarter of year 2013 from January to March that corresponds to a 3-month short course. The student trainess are expected to learn the fundamentals of electricity and the know-how to install and troubleshoot some housewiring circuits. Basic Computer Operations and Trouble-shooting and Repair will also be conducted.

They are also expected to learn how to use simple measuring instruments needed to troubleshoot simple circuit problems. The method of teaching is in Competency Based format where students are exposed to hands on training. Any topic that is discussed should be coupled with practical exercises that will enhance their skills and knowledge of the course.
